Hey guys, haven't posted in awhile...

The past 2 nights was my Homecoming Variety Show! I played with our school's Jazz Lab Band on the Blues Brothers Medley - It was fun! It was freshmen playing the horns, though, so they weren't always in tune, but it was a blast doing it.

But I saw about 10 seconds of the video....it was awesome!
Although I'm not one muchfor Jazz....It's still cool every now and then.

Why would I be awful, haha? I happen to be in the choir at school and in Madrigals, the top select choir. P:

Tim's harmonica solo was 1337. Amazing. Pure awesomeness in its concentrated form.

Okay, 1 day left 'til Saturday. And you know what Saturday is?

You don't? WTF?

Haha, I get to reenact WW2 for the FIRST TIME on Saturday!! Me, my dad, my friend, his dad, and another friend are driving up to Rockford, IL for their annual reenactment. It's the first time for me and the friend that's having his dad come, and the third or fourth time for my other friend.

So I am SUPER excited!! Only downside is that we have to leave at 0600 hours...UGH.

Dude nice! All that hard work and money paying off eh? Have fun!

Hahah! Oh my gosh, guys, it was friggin' amazing. I had SUCH a great time. I have a few pictures here up on Flickr, if you want to look.

I went down to Rockford with 2 of my friends, one of whom was a newbie like me. It was great, they joked around being drill sergeants with us, called us FNGs - Fairly New Guys(to say it nice). It was just a great atmoshpere, actually. Knowing they were joking made it better, of course! They were impressed with us because we had almost a full uniform - Most new guys don't. (Some of the regular guys there didn't...) So that was good.

I was able to shoot a Garand and a BAR - although because the MPs were so strict there, the under-18s weren't able to use weapons. There were 5 of us, so they had 2 form a bazooka team, that launched out model rocket engines, 2 form a medical team with a stretcher, and I was the LT's radio op.! It was a great time, seeing that we could actually go into the field with them on our first reenactment.

The guys were great, and it was awesome drilling, marching and fighting next to them. I'm definitely going back!!

I met a 327th GIR vet, who was very nice and talked to us for awhile, and also learned some new cadences, by the way....

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know...


Last night I found out that my dog, Smokey's, liver is failing. The other day she tore her ACL, which means one of her back knees is useless. We would try to get the knee replaced, but because of her bloodwork and the fact that the other knee might blow out, she would not be accepted for surgery.

The vet gave Smokey a month at the most to live. We have no idea how fast her liver is going to degrade. Right now, we're just trying to make her life as comfortable as we can. We have to block off the stairs during the day, and help her walk up them at night.

So if there is a day or a couple days in a row that I don't show up here or that I am extremely moody, don't be offended. Smokey is 11 years old - we got her when I was 5. She's been a part of our family for my whole life, and it's hard to think of her being gone.

So when that happens - Please don't be offended.

That's tough, Tim. I'd understand if you needed a break.

I've never grown very attached to any of our several dozens of pets.

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear it.

Whoo, the reenactment was great! One of the guys in our unit brought a BUNCH of original weapons, so the crowd had lots of fun.

Get to go down to Bloomington today to visit my sister - It's her birthday!

To say what you did that day...so I guess you just spilled a little catsup on your hand....poor you.

Actually, if you clicked the picture, you coulda found out that I was splitting wood today, and the sledge slipped and smashed my palm, taking a chunk of skin off. It was a fun day!

I take it that you spray painted the guitar hero controller?
