| ^link to pic^ http://www.flickr.com/photos/26371913@N02/sets/72157606161257674/ ^link to set^ My Post Apoc Helo that was finished before I even saw Camp's or Tim-ltd's, I did'nt copy them. I like it, the 'chopper can hold around nine minifigs, three on the skids, two in the cockpit, one in the door, two on the bench behind the door, and one in the winch operators seat. The 'chopper is also armed with a 40mm gun housed in the nose, for when those pesky zombies get just a little to close for comfort. C&CC welcome | |

| I like it too, however, there are ways to improve.
The first things are design problems, the skids and the main rotor are pretty crude and could use a little fancying up. For the rotor, I'd suggest looking at other people's.
The second thing is a coloring issue. You have to understand that my gripe with random colors is not how many and which colors there are so much as where and how the colors are used. I think you need to practice "blocking" the colors, or linking colors onto the same color to form continuity rather than random speckles.
Overall though, a pretty neat little chopper design.
Keep building,

| It's almost like you're uising "post-apoc" as an excuse. I would love to see this in a solid colour. nice shaping around the back. | |

| Man! I'd love to see this set in the store! It is awesome! Although yeah, I think I would make it 1 or 2 colors.
I would look at it again, but now my internet blocks that site....for some reason.

| Ok, thanks for the comments guys. I would also love to see it in one color; but my Lego collection is actually not that large, the dark grey peices I have are from a Bricklink buying spree that happened two years ago when I wanted to build a tank. I might try to make it all one color, or replace everything with dark grey over time, but I'm not sure how long that will take; if I ever get around to it. This was just a cool idea I had, I might improve it later if I get the chance/bricks. | |

| Hey, sorry for the double post/posting in a "dead" topic, but can you post some links for some 'chopper skids and rotors I can look through?
And do you guys have any more ideas how I would make this look more modern or post apoc? I think it could go eather way; I could "post apoc" it or remake most of it and try and get it into one or two colors.
Any suggestions? | |

| Here's a single example; the skids should be no more than one stud wide. Actually, I think it would look better with wheels to land on.
Definitely go for a more modern look. Oh, and make replacing all of the rotor parts with black ones a top priority. This could look really great!

| Thanks for the tips memz. I know for sure I'm going to tear apart an old WWII troop carrier and my post apoc pickup for parts to finish the helo with. Any ideas on the skids? I don't have enough wheels for the whole chopper. | |

| Double post again I made most of the main cabin/troop bay dark gray, and I'm going to start working on the tail boom in a little bit. I'll add a note one of the pics on Flickr if you want to see what area I'm talking about. | |

| Triple post I redid the outside of the 'chopper, most of it is dark gray, a little is bley, and I redid the skids, which I really like, and are alot better than the old ones. I have "rough" pictures going up on Flickr, although they do not have a white background, those pics will come later, I don't have the time to take them right now. Thanks for all the help guys EDIT: Link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/26371913@N02/2804081080/ | |
