My Dad recieved the invoice for my Bricklink order and made the Payment.

It most likely will be here Friday since the mail won't run on Christmas Day.

I'd say it'll either come Friday or Monday, it was shipped just today so Friday seems kind of out of the picture.

I'm incredibly happy right now, I bought an origional 1942 Mosin Nagant at a gun show today.

It came with a free bayonet, cleaning kit, oil canister, and stipper clip pouches.

I'll take pictures tommarow when it's light outside.

That's cool! Are you able to shoot on your property, or do you need to take it to a range? I should've asked first, haha, is it still in shooting condition?

It just feels amazing to hold antique weapons in your hands. That's why I love reenactments!

I'm going to have to take it to a range to shoot it.

Also, it's in perfect shooting condition. My Dad and I cleaned it, and surprisingly the inside of the barrel is in great condition. Same with the bolt.

And I definately have to agree with that statement about holding antique weapons. Since there is no more room in the gun safe, I get to keep the Mosin up in my room, and I continuously keep on getting it out to hold it.

I love it so. Smile (Even though ammunition is fairly expensive.)

Cool, how much did you spend for it? Just wondering, if you don't want to say that's fine.

PostSubject: Re: Camp's blog   Camp's blog - Page 4 Icon_minitimeSat Dec 27, 2008 10:23 pm

Spent 140 dollars. (Rifle plus three boxes of ammunition)

The rifle itself was 115 Dollars whereas ones like it at other place can be double or triple that price.

I also researched the price of all of the free stuff that came with it: 295 Bucks for a Sling, Bayonet, Ammo pouches, Cleaning Kit, and Oil Canister.

It was definately a great deal.

I'm also even more happy, today my Dad came home with a M1 Carbine and .22 Mark II Pistol. Both were very dirty so we spent about 3 hours cleaning them just for them to turn out almost good as new. The Carbine also came with two 30 round magazines and a mag clamp. Another great deal, only for $400. (At the gun show the carbines ranged from 600-1000)

And I forgot to mention that yesterday when I bought my Mosin, my Dad bought a .20 Guage Pump M500 Mosberg.

Four firearms in two days.

Insane!!

Now my Dad and my WWII weapon collection consists of:
M1 Garand
M1903 Springfield
M1 Carbine
Colt M1911 .45
Mosin Nagant

He's thinking about going back to the gun show tommarow and trying to find a sling, bayonet (He likes to get bayonets for his rifles), and an oiler.

In Airsoft related news: My .45 is incredibly realistic. Has a little bit of kick, extremely loud( louder than an average BB Gun), and has a realistic weight.

Alright, my long post is over now.Razz

Very nice, that's a great deal. Usually with some searching you can find a good price like that for the rifle, but you got a great deal with the freebies!!!

You can get good deals on WWII firearms if you just do your research beforehand and search around...I already have a plan for getting a M1 Carbine for around $450.

Will it be a blank firing Carbine or a real one?

My Dad is also thinking about buying a Lee Enfield from the same person who sold him the Carbine and Mk II Pistol.

That'd be so fun to shoot.

You going to modify it to fire blanks for Reenacting, though?

Yes...There's a way to have a removable blank adapter, therefore I can shoot blanks and live rounds, which ever one I wish to at any certain time!

That's neat.

Here's a picture of some of the Mosin's freebies:

And for my new 1911:

I'll try to get a picture of the rifle itself. It's just the fact I need a good background but the rifle is so long.

Went shooting the Mosin Nagant, M1 Carbine and Ruger Mark II today: Awesome fun!

The Mosin was dead on accurate and kicked like a mule.
The Carbine was also accurate, and had very little kick.
The Mark II was awesome fun to shoot. Incredible accurate for a pistol.

All around a fun shooting session.
